About Chicken Road 2

A small chick stands at the edge of a highway. Cars and trucks rush past, and every lane it survives pushes the multiplier higher.

That's the Chicken Road 2 game by InOut Games – a step crash game with a 95.5% RTP, bets from $0.01 to $200, a max win of $20,000 and a top multiplier of x3,608,855.25.

It landed on 15 April 2025, just over a year after the original Chicken Road. The first game sent a hen over manhole covers towards a Golden Egg. The sequel keeps the hero and moves it onto a busy highway with heavier traffic.

InOut Games is a young studio with more than 30 titles, and Chicken Road was one of its early hits. Chicken Road 2.0 – the name you'll see in most casino lobbies – keeps the same formula: four difficulty levels, cash out whenever you like, no bonus rounds.

Fairness runs on a Provably Fair system instead of a classic RNG. The result of every round is fixed by seeds before you place your bet, and you can check it yourself with a SHA-256 hash.

How Chicken Road 2 actually works

The whole loop fits in one line: bet, pick a level, jump lane by lane, cash out or get hit. One crash ends the round at $0.

There are no bonus rounds, no free spins and no Autoplay. A round lasts as long as you keep pressing Go – there's no timer and no limit on how fast you move.

Round structure in 5 steps

  1. Set the bet. Pick a preset stake or double-click the bet display in the lower-left corner to type your own, from $0.01 to $200.
  2. Choose the level. Easy, Medium, Hard or Hardcore – the level sets the number of lanes and the size of the multipliers.
  3. Press Play. The green button in the lower-right corner sends the chick into the first lane.
  4. Go or Cash Out. If the chick makes it, the current multiplier is yours to take. Press Go for the next lane or Cash Out to collect.
  5. Win or lose. Cash out and the bet × multiplier lands in your balance. Get hit and the round ends at $0.

Difficulty levels and multipliers

Each level is a different highway. Fewer lanes means bigger steps on the multiplier ladder – and faster traffic.

LevelLanesFirst laneLast lane$1 bet at the last lane
Easy30x1.01x23.24$23.24
Medium25x1.08x2,457$2,457
Hard22x1.18x62,162.09$20,000 (cap)
Hardcore18x1.44x3,608,855.25$20,000 (cap)

Compared with the original Chicken Road, every level got longer: 30, 25, 22 and 18 lanes instead of 24, 22, 20 and 15.

Real Chicken Road 2 payout examples

Four rounds, from a full run to a lost bet:

  • Easy, all the way ($10 bet): 30 lanes crossed, x23.24 → $232.40.
  • Medium, all the way ($5 bet): 25 lanes crossed, x2,457 → $12,285.
  • Hard, all the way ($1 bet): x62,162.09 would be $62,162.09, but the cap pays $20,000.
  • Hardcore, one lane ($2 bet): cash out at x1.44 → $2.88. Press Go instead and get hit → $0.

Where the cap changes the math

The $20,000 cap decides how far it pays to go on each level. Divide the cap by the last multiplier and you get the bet above which the end of the road is worth less than it promises.

LevelLast multiplierCap reached at a bet ofBest for
Easyx23.24Never ($200 × 23.24 = $4,648)Long runs, small steady wins

Autoplay and controls

Chicken Road 2 has no Autoplay and no Autobet, unlike Aviator or Spaceman. Every lane is your own click.

  • Space key: on a computer, the spacebar moves the chick, so you don't have to aim the mouse.
  • Space to Spin & Go: switch it on in the Menu.
  • Bet presets: several fixed stakes, plus a custom amount.

Tip: decide your cash-out lane before you press Play. With no Autoplay, the plan in your head is the only brake.

How to check a round with Provably Fair

The result of a round comes from a server seed combined with the first 3 bets in it. The game fixes the outcome before any bet is placed.

  1. Open Provably Fair Settings in the game menu.
  2. Copy the next round seed.
  3. Paste it into any online SHA-256 hash generator.
  4. Play the round and compare: the hash must match the current seed shown in the menu.

What happens when you win

Press Cash Out and the bet × current multiplier goes straight to your balance. Every round, won or lost, stays in the bet history, where you can check it later.

No single payout goes above $20,000, whatever the multiplier says. At the $200 max bet, that's only x100.

Chicken Road 2 RTP and math breakdown

Chicken Road 2 pays back 95.5% over the long run. That's noticeably lower than in the original Chicken Road, and it's the same on all four levels.

What 95.5% RTP means

Over a very large number of rounds, every $1,000 staked returns $955 to players. The house keeps $45.

That's an average across millions of rounds, not a promise for your session. In the short run, one crash on lane 1 can take your whole bet.

RTP across a session

Here's what the 95.5% looks like at different totals staked:

Total stakedAverage returnHouse edge
$100$95.50$4.50
$1,000$955$45
$10,000$9,550$450

100 rounds at $1 means $100 staked and about $4.50 of expected cost. Bigger stakes don't change the percentage, only the amount.

Volatility, max win and bet math

Volatility isn't one number here – it's set by the level you choose. Your decisions during the run don't change it.

  • Max win ÷ max bet: $20,000 ÷ $200 = x100. At the top stake, anything past x100 is wasted.
  • Ceiling at min bet: $20,000 ÷ $0.01 = x2,000,000. Even at one cent, the last Hardcore lane (x3,608,855.25) is over the cap.
  • Bet range: $0.01 to $200 – the top stake is 20,000 times the bottom one.
  • Easy ceiling: x23.24 × $200 = $4,648, so Easy never reaches the cap.

Special payout rules

The $20,000 cap applies to each round, not to the multiplier. If bet × multiplier is higher, you're paid $20,000.

Do the math before you pick a level: on Hard above $0.32 and on Hardcore at any bet, the last lanes add risk without adding money.

Playing Chicken Road 2 on mobile

Chicken Road 2 is built in HTML5 and JavaScript and weighs 5.7 MB, so it loads fast on a phone.

There's no app in the App Store or Google Play. The game runs in your mobile browser, on iOS and Android, with the same 95.5% RTP and the same four levels.

  3. Search for Chicken Road 2 in the lobby.
  4. Open the game in demo or real-money mode.

Chicken Road 2 demo

The Chicken Road 2 demo gives you the full mechanics with virtual money: the same lanes, the same multipliers and the same Provably Fair system.

It's the cheapest way to feel the gap between 30 lanes on Easy and 18 lanes on Hardcore.

What the demo includes

You get a virtual balance instead of real money. Everything else works as in the real game: all four levels, bets from $0.01 to $200, Go, Cash Out, the space key and the bet history.

Demo winnings can't be withdrawn, and demo losses cost nothing.

5 reasons to play the demo first

  1. Feel the levels. x1.01 on the first Easy lane and x1.44 on the first Hardcore lane are very different jumps.
  2. Learn the traffic. Practise crossing the first few lanes and cashing out before you raise the target.
  3. Test a target. Try cashing out at x5 and see how often you reach it.
  4. Check Provably Fair. Copy a seed and verify a round without risking a cent.
  5. Set your controls. Try the space key and the bet presets before money is on the line.

Where Chicken Road 2 fits

Popularity

Chicken Road 2 caught on for the same reason as the original: it's easy to explain and easy to watch. A chick, a highway, cars – and a button you press when you've had enough.

It suits three kinds of players:

PlayerWhy it worksTypical setup
BeginnerFive steps, no paylines, no symbols to learnEasy, $0.10–$1
Crash playerCash out on every lane, Provably FairMedium, $1–$5
Risk hunterx1.44 on the first lane, x3,608,855.25 on the lastHardcore, $0.01–$0.10

Chicken Road 2 vs similar games

The closest comparison is the original Chicken Road, plus crash classics like Aviator and Spaceman:

The main difference is pace. In Aviator the multiplier runs on its own and you race the crash. In Chicken Road 2 nothing moves until you press Go, so every lane is a separate decision.

Tips for playing Chicken Road 2 smarter

You can't beat the traffic. Each round is fixed by seeds before it starts, and no pattern predicts the next one – past crashes carry zero weight.

Your real edge in Chicken Road 2 is your money: how much you bring, how much you bet and when you walk away.

Bankroll management by the numbers

BankrollSession budget (5%)Bet per round (1% of session)Rounds per session
$200$10$0.10100
$500$25$0.25100
$1,000$50$0.50100
$2,000$100$1100

Take 5% of your bankroll for one session and bet 1% of that per round. You get 100 rounds – enough to see how a level behaves, without one bad run emptying the account.

Stop-loss and win targets

  • Stop-loss: when the session budget is gone ($25 on a $500 bankroll), close the game.
  • Win target: once you're up 50% of the session budget ($12.50 on $25), lock it in and stop.
  • Cash-out target: aim for x5 – $5 on a $1 bet – and take it when it shows up.

Bet sizing

  • Keep the stake flat for the whole session, or change it slowly between sessions.
  • After 5 crashes in a row, don't raise the bet. The highway doesn't owe you a safe crossing.
  • Stick to one level per session instead of switching after a lost run.
  • Above $8.14 on Medium or $0.32 on Hard, the cap eats the top lanes – plan your exit earlier.

Chicken Road 2: final thoughts

Chicken Road 2 works because it gives you the controls. You pick the risk with four levels, see the next multiplier before every lane and decide when the run ends. The longer highway and the Provably Fair check make every round transparent.

What will frustrate you: no bonus features, no Autoplay, a 95.5% RTP that's lower than in the first game and a $20,000 cap that cuts the top Hardcore lanes. Players who like to set a target and stop will enjoy it most. Try the demo, learn the mechanics, then decide.
